to Special Friends North Tarrant County Special Olympics
Bingo: The Knights of Columbus will resume hosting Bingo at 1319 Brown Trail, Bedford, on the third Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8pm. Be sure to come kick off the Bingo season on Thursday, September 16th.
Bowling: Will begin on Friday, Sept. 10th at Hurst Bowl, 720 W. Pipeline, Hurst. Come knock the pins down Fridays from 6-8pm. Bowling competition at City View Lanes on Nov. 5th & 6th. Call Coach Diane at 817-312-8765 with any questions.
Volleyball: Starts Wed., Sept. 29th, 6:30-8 at Meadow Creek Elementary, 3001 Harwood Rd., Bedford, and Saturdays from 10:00am-11:30. Volleyball Competitions: SMU Tournament: Classifications for SMU are tentatively scheduled for 10/16 at 6PM and competition at SMU, tentatively on 10/30. Area 11 Tournament: Classifications and Competition at Fort Worth Christian on 12/4.
Bocce: Bocce is practicing on Tuesday and Thursday nights, 6:00 – 7:30 at Chisholm Park. The Area Competition will be held at NYTEX Sports Centre, 8851 Ice House Dr. in North Richland Hills on September 11th. Softball: Practices on Wed. 6-7:30 and Sat., 9-10:30 at Harwood Junior High. Classifications on Sept. 11th and Softball Competition is on Sept. 25th, both at Oran Good Park in Farmers Branch. Contact Coach Jessie Phillips (lghtning38@aol.com) for more details.
Golf: Golf continues through October. Click on the golf page for more details.
Basketball: Will start the beginning of January. Details to come in a November postcard.

Friends is an informal organization of people with intellectual
disabilities who enjoy having fun! The people in Special
Friends participate in organizations such as Special Olympics, Knights
of Columbus Bingo, and other activities.
The
purpose of this site is to share information among Special Friends
participants and to celebrate their accomplishments and successes by
sharing their experiences. Learn more about player participation!
